The training will take place each day from 9:00am-4:30pm, and will follow the same agenda each day:
9:00-12:00 - lecture
12:00-1:00 - lunch
1:00-2:00 - videos/demonstrations
2:00-4:30 - practicum
Learning Objectives:

Describe 3 aspects of the AIP Model for effective case conceptualization and treatment planning

Demonstrate and name the 8 phases of EMDR therapy for comprehensive treatment

Name essential aspects of preparing a client for EMDR Therapy

Identify the criteria for client readiness

Describe the 3-Prong Approach and know how to use it for comprehensive targeting

Describe strategies for working with abreactions
-
Identify the purpose of utilizing the SUD scale and the VOC scale

Describe therapy-interfering beliefs that may need to be addressed in order for treatment to proceed

Desribe how to stabilize a client with Safe/Calm Place

Describe clinical symptoms that may indicate the need to assess for dissociation

Describe the different categories of resources
-
Identify when to use specialty protocols
-
Identify when to use cognitive interweaves and other clinical interventions during EMDR processing

Identify when the Recent Events Protocol would be appropriate as an intervention

Identify 3 differences in applying EMDR therapy to working with children

This training is intended for licensed or pre-licensed counselors and therapists who work directly with clients. Graduate students on a licensure track are also eligible.

No previous EMDR experience is necessary.

Participants who need to cancel their reservations are entitled to a full refund, provided they cancel and request the refund at least seven days before the first training.

Participants who begin the EMDR training must complete the entire training within 24 months from their initial start date.

10 hours of consultation are required in order to complete the EMDR training. These hours are included in the registration fee and will occur roughly halfway between the first and second trainings.
